    Buy this!

Really does an amazing job! We have 2 dogs and a pig that live inside and this picks up hair perfectly. Really helps decrease dust in the house which is a plus. Worth every penny. Actually bought this for my mother before buying for myself, and she loves hers too!

    Fantastic

This little vacuum is just what my house needed. I have 3 dogs and keeping up with the pet hair seemed impossible. I set it to run in the AM and then I run it again in the PM when I get home from work, If you don't run it for a few days the chamber fills up rather quick, but just paying attention to that is not a problem. If you do not have time to vacuum or sweep daily then you need this to help you.

    Excellent!

I think your happiness with a robot vacuum depends upon your expectation(s). I think I've had it for about a month and half now. The things I love most about this product are that (i) it goes under my coffee table (which has low clearance and which we refer to as the "black hole"), sofas and beds; (2) it gets up against my baseboards and toekicks in the kitchen; and (3) it keeps my floors tidy on a regular basis. Before the robot, I used to vacuum about once a week. I run the robot (or "release the Hound" as we say) a couple of times a week and I don't feel bad if I have unexpected guests. I have a mixture of flooring types, and the robot generally transitions well among them. It occasionally gets caught on a small area rug, but my regular vacuum would get sucked up right away. Don't expect it to go over any rugs that don't have a rubber backing, it will just push them around. Also best to keep small cords tucked away. I have used twist ties in some cases to secure them. Even though it is round, because the brushes stick out, it gets into corners pretty well. I don't expect this to replace my regular vacuum, but it sure helps me a lot. I don't have any pets at the moment, so I can't say anything about that. I would recommend running the regular vacuum before your first use because the dust canister probably won't hold all of the dust it picks up. Each time I run it there is less in the dust canister, so I feel confident that it is working well. My husband has allergies and I am hopeful that it will pick up dust and pollen and help ease his seasonal allergies.

UPDATED 2+ YEAR REVIEW - from 4 stars to 5 stars...

***08/07/2020 UPDATE***I don't write a lot of reviews, but I had to come back and update this review from 4 stars to 5 stars. Is the vacuum perfect? No. But is it one of the best purchases I've ever made? Yes. For the money, this thing is a life changer. We haven't had to vacuum or sweep (except in corners and hard to reach places) since we bought it more than 2 years ago. For the most part it has run without issue. I change the dust bin every night (and knock the dust out of the filter), and clean and remove the pivot wheel and brushes occasionally as they can pick up some hair and fuzz. It has started acting a little strange where it won't run automatically after it's been powered off (I only power off if we go on vacation and can't empty the dust bin). But if I just adjust the schedule by an hour and then back to original time it seems to correct itself and run the next night per schedule. Anyway, there are fancier models with more features, but for hard surfaces and the price, I would buy this again in a heartbeat. I sometimes wish it would die so I could get one with a bigger dustbin - but now that I'm used to emptying it every night it's just part of my nightly routine. If you're looking for your first inexpensive robot vacuum - I can't recommend this one highly enough.***09/05/2018 UPDATE***I've now had the V3s Pro for 6 months and had to come back and upgrade my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. This vacuum has proven to be so effective it has really improved our cleanliness around the house and I am constantly recommending this vacuum to friends and family. It is very noticeable when it hasn't run for a couple of days as the dog hair shows up on my dark floors. The vacuum still has a few issues - the dust bin is so small that it fills beyond capacity every night. We have a pile rug that sheds like crazy along with 2 dogs so there is no shortage of material for the vacuum to suck, but its a pain to have to empty the dust bin every night. My next robot vacuum will have a larger dust bin. Additionally you need to do a good job picking up the floor every night before it runs (also forces good habits). Shoes with long laces, dog toys, clothing, sloped lamp base, dog bowl - all will find a way to tangle or disrupt the vacuum. Also, I've gotten over the gripe I mentioned about the scheduling and charging. Yes, it's a dumb glitch or programming decision, but in reality it doesn't really matter since I just run the vacuum every night anyway.***ORIGINAL REVIEW***Only had the vacuum for 2 days but so far it seems to function well as a vacuum. However, there is an odd programming bug (or feature choice) on the remote that won't let you cancel the schedule time. The included instructions state that the only way to keep the robot from running at a scheduled time is to turn it off with the power switch. Problem is, the instructions also state that the vacuum will only charge when the power switch is in the on position. Alternate instructions found online suggest that you can set the schedule time to 00:00 but this functionality is not available on the remote I received. Instead it just rolls from 12 to 1. Perhaps this was a safety feature to keep people from leaving it on the charger in a chargeable state for days or weeks without a discharge? Or it's just an annoying bug in the remote programming. Either way, it's an annoying situation. I now have to remember switch the robot off after it docks to make sure it doesn't start by itself at the scheduled time, but if I switch it off when it docks it won't charge. For the time being, I don't trust it to just run unsupervised and prefer to start it when I am available to keep an eye on it. Tried to reset the schedule to 00:00 and discovered that you can't. It may be that if you never set the start time in the first place you won't have this problem so keep that in mind as you set it up.

Have dogs, get this, you will be pleased

So I am impressed that expected. I have two German Shepherds, one is a long coat. Anyone who knows the bread knows the shedding issues. This vacuum lacks the roller brush, so much better. The roller brush in past owned units was a major pain of constant untangling dog hairs. The dirt container is easy to use and remove, another good point being located at the top of the unit. This is a simple bump and go unit so no fancy radar, but this is a very inexpensive unit compared to most other name brands. I like the low cost much more. I do wish for two things. 1. bigger dirt container, this is common issue with all floor robotic vacuums, 2. Please give me a beep warning when the dirt contained becomes full and even better let the unit stop and beep so I can address this. It already has a beep warning when the unit gets stuck, that is a nice feature, so I can find it. I do wish that beeping would continue until found, as it has a limit.
